The Deal Dragon was founded by @weelsmeta in 2025 as a single, opinionated voice for collectors who were tired of being marketed to. Tired of "deal" lists that were really scalper roundups. Tired of newsletters that recycled the same Black Friday garbage. Tired of paying retail for things that were 30% cheaper if you knew where to look.
The Deal Dragon is part of a small content empire that includes Pocket Nostalgia Vault, Secret History, True Crime Tableaux, and Hidden Slabs — each a distinct channel with its own voice, its own audience, and its own reason to exist. The Dragon is the deals desk for all of them.
The Dragon doesn't post every deal.
Only the ones worth chasing. Scalper prices get rejected. ETBs over $80 get rejected. "Deals" that are still 15% above sold comps get rejected. We do the work so you don't waste your money.
Every deal that makes the cut has been price-checked against historic lows on the same SKU, verified against recent sold comps (not retail MSRP), and sourced from a seller with a verified track record. If a deal can't clear all three checks, it doesn't make the hoard.
That's the whole pitch. A trusted source. A short list. A Dragon that gives a damn about your wallet.

How we make money.
The Deal Dragon is funded by affiliate commissions and (soon) a paid Discord tier — The Inner Sanctum, $0.99/month — for members who want the deepest cuts and earliest access. That's it. No sponsored placements disguised as picks. No newsletter rentals. No "trending now" sections paid for by brands.
When you click a "Grab it" button on this site, it usually leads to an affiliate link — most often an Amazon Associates link, but sometimes eBay, Best Buy, or other retailer programs. If you buy, the retailer pays The Deal Dragon a small commission. Your price doesn't change. The Dragon's pick doesn't change either — only price, value, and seller quality determine what gets featured.
That's the model. Honest, boring, and the only way a deals brand actually earns trust over time.
